I’m Rara. Rawra. The Saur. Rarasaur.
Radhika. Radha. His wife. Ra.
Oh, call me whatever you want so long as you say it kindly. The important thing to note that is that I’m obviously basically a dinosaur.
Welcome to my little bloggy town! ❤
‘Round these parts, you’ll see that I blog (nearly) everyday about what makes us tick, the awesome internet, cryptobeasts, prison, widowhood, muppet philosophy, and blogging.
Before you get started, here is a list of things you probably should know:
- I love lists.
- I live in Southern California and can’t stand the beach.
- I’m a techie, nerd, and geek. (Yeah, they’re different things.)
- I don’t eat sugar. Usually.
- I spent 438 days incarcerated and was released July 18th, 2015.
- I’m here for you if you need something– just email me.
- The moon is 63,057,742 very tall giraffes away.
- I read thousands of books a year and never blog about them.
- My husband — artist, blogger, writer, Dave Martinez (Pen name, Grayson Queen) — passed away in May 2015 from kidney failure.
- This blog turned 3 years old in August 2015.
- The picture above was picked by popular demand. I generally don’t like pictures of myself where I’m not holding a cup of caffeinated beverage, or sitting by a dinosaur.
I love people who do things, people who hate things, people who love things, and (probably) you.
Get comfortable, say hey, and tell me a little something about what makes you tick so we can start doing frightfully wondrous things.
Come on, let’s go!
#LetsGoLetsGoLetsGo
It’s kinda cool coming to a new theme everyday. At least if you’re not posting everyday right now, there is still something happening and I can still come and look around and enjoy the fossils that I’m finding.

Can you read the stuff on the sidebar, or did I make the colors too light?

It’s perfectly clear for me. I like the fonts are good on this theme.

No pressure or anything, but this is my official Rarasaur time slot. I come in the morning and get everything started in the kitchen for cooking the lunch. All the water is on and boiling and I’m just waiting for the veggie choppers to finish up with their 500 kilos of veggies and I sit down and open up Rarasaur! This just happened: Monday Melt. Wait but it’s Thursday for me. No problem, but this is our offical “around the campfire” sit down time… just so you know. 🙂

I can’t even tell you how much I love that we have campfire time. ❤ Long posts are coming… I can't seem to write anything short lately!
Also… 500 kilos of veggies!! Crazy! It's got to be good luck to be around so much abundance… I always thought that in the prison kitchens, too. We are blessed!

Happy Birthday by the way. At least in India it is already the day.

Thank you, time traveler. How is the future looking? Does my birthday turn out to be a lovely day? 😀

It’s gonna be awesome! There will be so much love that you just won’t know what to do with it, but don’t worry, it keeps so you can store it for later.

Yours truly is a beautiful soul, old friend.
Love the pic, by the way!
My belated condolences; I’ve lost a loved one recently and so I feel a degree of your pain.

Wait–you’re BACK??? (I’m sure you have been for ages but I kinda stopped reading blogs about a year and a half ago and now I feel like a jerk. Although one of the reasons might’ve been that you weren’t around, so what was the point…)

🙂 I came home July 18th. “Home” to this brand new world where I’m a felon and widow… but home, nonetheless. I’m doing it, Jenn. Miraculously! 🙂 How have YOU been, wonderful lady? I popped around your blog a bit, but haven’t had a day for a true binge yet. 🙂

Hi,
I have to ask, just exactly how tall is a very tall giraffe? hmmm… smoke is pouring out of my ears as the gears just kicked in. Calculations can be very smokey things. A little over 20 feet! that is a very tall giraffe!
Don’t mind me, I just broke into your life for a moment by stumbling in here. I’m glad I did! You are a unique individual and that is always a good thing!
Take care,
Charles

Hey Rara! Just a quick little comment to say I stopped by today to check out your newest post, and I felt it more appropriate to come here to tell you I like what you’ve done with the place! Love the color scheme, the theme, the home page, it all fits in so nicely together!
Best wishes,
Dean 😉

That’s the sweetest thing ever. 😀 I usually have to run around and pull teeth to gather opinions, 🙂 I’m still working on the organization, but I’m liking the style too. I appreciate the comment and the thoughts, and … everything. Thanks, Dean. 😀

No worries! I recently revamped both my blogs too, so I know how it feels to want to have peoples feedback. I also just happened to notice that you had redone the place, and decided to give a nice word. 🙂 Hope you’re keeping well x

I enjoy watching my family happy from what I’ve given them. I enjoy family cookouts, all of the grandchildren at once, chasing ppl around the house, and being goofy in the house.
