100 / you are loved.

We gather ’round my blog-fire from time to time and share stories.  Together, we are an eclectic, eccentric, electric tribe.   Our perspectives and life-journeys weave around us like fireflies, and the dancing brightness illuminates every pathway– possible and impossible.

I see the many ways we traveled to arrive here– and how easy it would be to arrive elsewhere– and I marvel at our synchronicity.

Because we are here now.  We found each other.

The fire is aflame, thanks to your kindling, and in the brightness of its warmth, I see you as my connection to every dream.

You are loved.

This is my first foray into completely unscheduled 100 word posts.  I am, of course, cheating by adding subnotes here but since I made the arbitrary rules– I get to break them, too.

I’ve been catching up on old comments, since comment replying is one thing that I  don’t like to multi-task.  I think it deserves 100% of my attention.  In the reading of the comments in a row like a book, rather than a 100 small conversations, I’m blown away by all the insight and wonder y’all bring to my world.

This is a badge for you.  You don’t need to put it up, but I do want you to know that it’s yours, and that the words on it apply directly to you.

Say it aloud.

See?

It even sounds like truth.  If for some reason it doesn’t, say it again– and again– because it is as true as true can be.  You are part of a wondrous tribe– (probably many wondrous tribes)– and you are loved.

How’s your weekend going?  On a whole different note, for a whole different project– if you were to get a happy little email in your inbox, perhaps with a picture– what words would brighten your day?  Swearing kittens and magical hugs are already on the list…

  1. I would like happy truths. There is enough bitter honesty in the world, so happy truths, especially the ones we most often forget, like being loved, are welcome. 🙂

    1. Happy truths are the best! They’re sort of simple, though, and I think that’s why they get overlooked. Just like positivity in the newspaper– “Man loves his cat today, despite waking up to 4 shredded paper towel rolls” just isn’t as catchy as the bad stuff.

🙂 Anyways, thank you for being wondrous and bright, E!! *hugs*

      1. I know it’s not as catchy, and for some reason humans are attracted to bad things, but I think that means it needs to be said more.
Thank you for being so sunshiney and supportive! 🙂

  2. Rara, I feel blessed to be part of the “I am Loved” group. I have come to cherish my blog family so much more than I ever thought possible the 1st time I put fingers to the keyboard. Smiling, I have been know tol have more words in the comments section of a post than the post itself. It’s almost if me and that person are sitting quietly and just chatting. Thank you for “I am Loved” pic, if I can figure out how to include it on my blog I will. Take care, Bill

    1. Bill, I am grateful to Hunty for a million things, but high up on that list is for introducing us. 🙂 The comment section is my favorite place to be, and on many of my posts– I tell people to read them. Skip the post if you’re short on time, but never skip my comments section. That’s where the brilliance is. 🙂

There may be special significance/power in the badge for you. The symbol, which always looks like a dinosaur to me, is called a sei he ki. It is a healing symbol– a balance– bringing to your body, the strength of your mind, or the other way around if the need be. It’s a symbol of purification, balance, & harmony– “The Earth and Sky Join”– I hope it adds a touch of healing to your life, Bill. I know the strength in your mind is enough to heal a hundred thousand bodies.

btw is there a url for that picture. I really want to attach to my blog, Again thank you. — Bill

  3. Feeling loved is what is getting me through the struggle that started my blog … I may be new to the blogging world but this means a lot … can we add the badge to our page with a link to yours?

    1. No link is necessary, though of course you’re welcome to link back if you feel it better explains it. 🙂

New is wonderful– I am grateful to have you here. Who knows what exciting possibilities we’ll come up with together? I think wonderful journeys are in our horizon. Hugs to you!!

    Thanks for this, Rara.

Baby sloths are adorable, but I am also fond of cute characters saying inappropriate things. Kind of like kittens swearing; maybe ducklings and inappropriate jokes? 😀

      1. Rainbows are a confirmation for me, personally. That though, I may need to trudge today, if I remain willing to keep baby~stepping thru the storm, my reward will be a rainbow. Trust me when I tell you I have some amazing rainbow stories. Gratefully I did not experience them all alone. Some were very private affairs and some were not. But all left inspiring messages in my life. Womanwalkininfaith

  6. I’ve never been much a kittens and unicorns kind of girl, but you have a knack for making the sweetness feel very real. I think that’s a huge gift.

words that would brighten my day? hmm. “I hear you”.

    1. 😀 You know, I’m really not a unicorns girl myself, but I can’t help the kitten-love… they’re so fluffy! 🙂 Thank you, my dear, for your kind words and — as always — for your warm insights. “I hear you” is well… perfect. 🙂

    1. Of course I care– I think the readers of all blogs (though I admit to being partial to mine) add so much to the feel of a blog. When I come here and I know that I’m safe to say what I want, and that my views will be respected, and that I am loved– well, that has more to do with you than with me. It’s a feeling I hope all my readers have. Hugs to you, Lala, for being such a positive dancing firefly! 😀

  7. Puppies!!! Kittens are cute…but..but…so are puppies…most seem to forget that.. 😦 Would love that in an email…pictures of puppies that want to make you reach out into the screen and give them a squishy hug and smell their puppy smell and pinch their non existent cheeks.

Thank you for the lovely badge! Hmm..it looks cute…I’ll add it onto my blog….:D

I’m glad that I found your blog on FP. I rarely look at the FP page…and even then I rarely click the blogs and to top that off…I usually stop following the blog after sometime because it doesn’t resonate with me…with your blog it’s been a pretty awesome ride!

  11. The most impact and joy I’ve had from happy emails is when someone drops me a line or full fledge letter to say they were thinking about me. Kind of blows my mind that others might be thinking about me at any given time. 🙂

    And I feel loved. 🙂

Kittens and swearing is always nice, as are Farscape memes, or Firefly, or LoTR, or Dr. Who, or Star Wars…nerdy I know. I leave it to your good judgment. Thank you, Rara. 🙂

  13. I’m sorry, Rara. This is very difficult for me. I was fought over and cut down by people I naturally assumed– as would any child– would protect me and love me unconditionally.

I was violated. I was beaten, although the physical blows hurt less than the emotional and mental ones. Generations meddled and fought over how I was to be raised. I was told, “You need to stop burdening other people with your problems.”

I know that Cimmy and my children love me, and slowly, I have come to understand my father loves me despite the past. But to trust more than that… it’s not much in me. Even here, I worry about betrayal, because it’s happened before, many times.

    1. *hugs* That’s alright, Jak. It comes with time. Years ago, I met a guy who had a similar story. His thought was that eventually everyone betrays you. We were just passing by each other at a wedding. I shook his hand and I let him know I wouldn’t, and that he could count on me. And 10 years later, he still can, and we’re still good friends.

I guess my point is, those terrible things and flaws aren’t the fault of love as an idea– but of flawed people prioritizing other things over it. It’s not to say that I’m not flawed in many, many, many (many many) other ways– but love is my priority. And I love you & your family. 🙂

  15. My email would say something like: you are on the exact right path, because that is what you have chosen. I think we have so much freedom and so many options for living that many of us end up wondering what our “life purpose” is, wandering this way and that with the world’s stimuli. Past generations didn’t have time to think about that, not were they exposed to so much variety of information, and I don’t feel that we’re taught how to manage our freedom for that reason. We have to forge our own path in this new freedom and realize that happiness is in living what we have chosen (or having the balls to make a scary change, of course)! Thanks for the great question, and I like your idea of the 100 word posts!
