Confetti Dreams

What’s the point of photo editing programs if you don’t occasionally edit yourself inside a balloon?

If you had the time/inclination/tools required to edit yourself into any sort of picture, in any way– what would you create?  Would you be riding a unicorn? Kissing a zebra? Standing on a tall, tall building? Reading underwater?

  1. “What’s the point of photo editing programs if you don’t occasionally edit yourself inside a balloon?” Indeed. A question I ask myself, every day. Nicely done!

    1. Thanks, chica! 😀 Yep, I have an endless collection of photos where I think… “YES. This photo needs a photo edited version of myself. ;)” If you do a search for surreal self portraits, too, you find some amazing stuff, but most of it seems to err on the scary side, 🙂

  2. All beautiful images but I’m more likely to edit myself into a blood thirsty scene from game of thrones, or the hunger games… but balloons are nice too.

    1. I love that the rainbows of Venus popped to your mind first, 😀 but I also love the word “stroll” in conjunction to them. I can see the image and it is beautiful! 🙂

  3. I would be in Arthur Browne’s head, communing with the crack squirrels. That would be a glorious, disco-like photo right there. Sorry Rara, it’s bromance at its finest.

                    1. I like the way he eases me into my own insanity. I figure you just have to embrace your own inner madness, crack squirrels and all.

By the way, is it spring yet? Seriously Z, this winter…

                    2. Don’t let it happen!

I know, this winter has been insane! We do have the snow melting off some, and no new snow coming thus far. The days are some warmer. NOT warm just warmer. We got our roof done this past week so it can come now!

He’s writing a book, you know. And he tells great stories. And he’s awful genuine, in my opinion. Glad you found your way over.

  4. Ohhh the many ideas!! I’d love to be a mermaid or sitting up high in a tree with a dragon or a new type of creature. I have to think about this “new creature” now hehe.

  5. I would like to be dressed as some sort of superhero/road warrior/ bad ass character, doing something very cool and improbable – like standing on the edge of the universe.

  7. I would be dancing Argentine tango (with a TDH partner, natch) on top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. (NOT on the Eiffel Tower– I want the view of the Tower from the Arc!)

    1. 🙂 Well, I try not to do photo editing that takes more than a few minutes, haha, but I see your point. 🙂 Though I could photo edit you holding a mountain top, or growing one in your mind, or flying over one….

      1. Point taken! I think it would be fun to grow a mountain in my mind. 😀 Not sure what I’d do with the photo, but I could probably come up with something to write about it… a bit of fiction, “since he could no longer go to the mountains, he figured out how to bring one to him.”

  8. Rara, That’s easy, I would edit myself right into taking the stroll up the 18th fairway at Augusta, knowing I had just won the Masters. Thanks for the vision, Bill

  9. I photoshop myself into stuff all the time. I also photoshop the stuff that my dreams manifest. This one is straight out of my weird-as-balls dream world – the Incredible Pastry:

  10. Well, if I could, I would first of all finally get an image created of Grumpy Cat inside Mother Angelica’s habit, to use for the posts I want to write about Sister Grumpy Cat (a fictional character, based upon all the grumpy attributes of the Religious I have met both professed and novice) in an attempt to be humorous about Religious Life and some of its challenges (or rather, the challenge of living with a diverse group of people).

I quite like the idea of riding a unicorn. In a habit. Or maybe being on the back of a motorbike, in my habit.
