    1. Aw, Dean, you’re the best. I’m having technical issues. WP media says the file is corrupt even though I can play it everywhere else. I’m going to convert it and then try again. 🙂

    1. I love you, too, chica. Thank you for listening, it makes it like a real project! I’m actually really excited even though I still haven’t figured out how to do correctly. I think this’ll be exactly what I was looking for, for the times I don’t want to blog, where I just want to talk out miscellaneous thoughts. Yay for progress, and building, and celebrating. 😀

    1. Aww, thank you Mark. For listening, for everything. I wanted to tell the story of your letter in your next one– it’s one of those I can’t do with words because there’s so many characters. Would it be alright if I mentioned you?

  1. I love listening to you. I am still listening. You do have a wonderful voice. One WANTS to listen. Keep doing what you do. I feel privileged that you let us listen to your thoughts. You have a wondrous mind. 🙂

    1. Aw, Jackie, thank you. This is the closest I have to having coffee/tea with most of y’all in real time. For now, that is. One day, we’ll get together, I’m sure of it. 🙂

    1. Thank you!! It’s just like the ramble I rambled at you on your long drive, except I watched a little light to talk slower than normal. Of course, talking slowly made me lose track of my thoughts like 3 times, but hey, it’s an audcast, what else would anyone expect? 😀

    1. 🙂 Well, normally it goes much faster, and the speed itself can be chaotic, but I’m glad that chaos feeling goes away when I slow down. I wanted to say Happy Valentines Day, not give anyone high blood pressure. 😉 Thank you for listening! ❤

  2. It’s just after 3am and ive spent the last 14 or so minutes meandering along in a gentle stream of thoughts. Just, wow..

It was the calmest, quietest river of revelations: as we drifted around each bend, new sights and sounds were revealed, thanks only to my imagination drinking in the sound of your lovely voice (seriously, it was beautiful; I could spend hours by that lazy river).

Thank you for sharing. Happy Valentine’s Day Ra ❤️

    1. Happy Valentine’s Day, Dan. Thank you for your kind words, I am so thankful that you took a pocket of time out of your day to listen, and follow me along with my rambles. It’s almost like really having coffee with me! 🙂 I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. ❤

  3. Oh, so you can use Star Wars font, but Papyrus is a rising grease fire of horror?

    (but I digress)

As with any new medium of communication (and I know this because I, once upon a LONG time ago hosted a podcast), there is a transition period in which you feel so very out of place. So when I say that, by the end of your first Oh-So-Very-Audcast, I could tell no difference between what you were recording, and what you your actual in person voice sounds like.

    It sounded “real”.

Okay, enough with the technical. Now comes the practical. That was stunningly beautiful. You just “peopled” all those who will listen. It may have been the crowning achievement of your blogging career.

I cannot wait to hear more.

    1. You recognized the font! 🙂 Points. I mean, you lose points for mentioning Papyrus but ok. 🙂

As to feeling out of place, I tried to think of it as having coffee with a friend and since I’ve had coffee with you, I’m glad to know that you thought it sounded real.

Thank you for your help getting it going. You’re awesome!

    1. Ha! I think you just follow the rambling quite well. I can always tell when I’ve gone in circles when I realize I can’t title it anything that makes sense. 🙂 Happy Valentine’s Day, Kate. Love you muchly. ❤

    1. Super high five!! The books were Just Kids by Patti Smith that Samara sent me, AR Neals last book, Dave’s Orange Buffalo, and Deb’s book The Monsters Daughter. It was a tower of love!

And yep, dots are doors waiting to happen. Everything is. 🙂

    1. Meow. 🙂 I don’t think I’m so much a poet as, perhaps, someone who had lived a poet’s life. Oh and someone who stalks poets on the odd occasion. Which I guess might just be the same thing. 🙂

    1. I could do audio children’s books… I’ve actually been thinking about a podcast for the fairy tales I grew up with, and the ones Dave wrote. .. but anything longer wouldn’t work because I have a tendency to speed way way up. 🙂 People would have to listen on 0.5x time!

      1. I think a podcast of fairytales would be cool but you could also do short stories as well, have you ever listened to the Clarkesworld podcast your voice is very similar to Kate Baker’s and she narrates lots of Sci-Fi type stories 😀

  4. So, I click. I start listening. Then chills up my spine. I adjust my volume. I sit closer. Because the voice I hear coming out of the speakers is mine. No, it is yours. But your voice sounds so much like mine it is crazy.
We are so different, in age, in demographics, in experience. Yet, our voices ring out the same.
Sending you a huge hug. Love will always win; love lives. Love is alive! You are so right.
    I LOVE YOU!!!!
    🙂

  5. audio doodads! i want to hug people who use the word doodads. (maybe you can add that in the star wars font below mission alpha/episode one… doodad the first!) and after listening, it feels like i actually have been hugged. you’re great.

  6. I had chills too! And agree with another poster who mentioned you should do audio books. And I got all teary… and I don’t even “know you”. Ah… but I do, a little. I’ve been reading and reading. Your voice is beyond lovely. It’s beautiful. ❤ Can't wait for the next audio doodad.
We have to celebrate love. Regardless of the overblown-ness of the day. My dear friend kept saying she hated the day.. I gently corrected her. Celebrate yourself – do something for yourself that you love. Take care, Ra. So glad I "found" you.

    1. Celebration is a beautiful thing, an important thing. And love is just such a joyful thing to celebrate that I don’t like to pass by any good excuse. 😉 Thanks for listening. It’s lovely to have you here. ❤

    1. Yayyyy! I’m glad that feeling came across. I’m thankful you took the time to listen, and I promise if we were really having coffee, I’d listen at lest as much as I babble, ha! 😀

  7. You have such a sweet voice, Rara, it’s so very pleasant to listen to you.

I would love to share a coffee or three! Maybe one day ….

Did you use the Post by Voice feature from WordPress to do that? I have wanted to try for the longest time but it’s so intimidating for some reason. I don’t know why – my husband and I played around with podcasting kind of stuff a couple years ago, but for some reason, doing it alone on my blog is scary.

I’m glad you did this, and I hope you do more “Rarasodes.”

Happy Valentine’s Day to you, Rara, I love you too. *hugs* ❤

    1. I recorded on my phone then uploaded it to WordPress as media. It’s always scary when I’m not just using my words, 🙂 so I understand. If I do more than 12, I’ll buy myself a proper mic. They’re not super pricey but I don’t want stuff I won’t use. 🙂

I’d love to hear yours, and have coffee with you, one day. One day. 🙂

  8. Hi Ra!
I am blushing with happiness: I feel loved and understood by your message. Your audcast is good! 💕 It was like we sat down for a moment, and your sound filled the white room with presence and peacefulness. What I noticed was A LOT of patience. You always seem to inspire confidence in me. I think ‘here is a person who is willing to be here, with all of us, all the time, and she hasn’t even promised,’ but I can trust this sincerity. So glad for your expression in this new format!
    Happy Valentine’s Day for us!

  9. My Mom, who is a therapist, used to make these trance tapes for self-improvement back in the 80s. Your soothing voice had me fully back in those tapes and then all of a sudden you said, clothes your eyes and I was like no way this is totally a new model self-improvement tape.
You had the line about love and time and how love always wins and I was like no time always wins and then you rocked my perspective by saying after death, love continues. Awesomeness. I have to catch up with your posts when I can, but I’m looking forward to the new format.
