Lighting things up, one match, one candle, one giant mega wat spotlight, one exploding star at a time.
I don’t really know what that means, but it’s cool to imagine anyway.

Rara, I am so sorry that life has not been kind to you. It should have been, and it should be.

I may be quiet a lot here (introvert issues, lol) but I am always here for you. And if you ever need to just vent, I am here. We can email, or text, or talk. No judgy, no fixing, no pressure, just listening. I am good at listening.

if you try at a lot of things you are more likely to fail at some of them. I think you are very successful with your poetry, your art, your community making, your being you – no matter what is thrown your way. You are quite a success! You are such a bright light and we can all see you shimmer 💖

Also I remember zines from when I was a teenager. All the cool kids did them 🙂💕

😀 Same! I was not one who did them, but I definitely read them 🙂 I think the “Stories” format in Facebook and IG are perfect for them.

I’ve been following you for a while, and have often wanted to comment, but I didn’t know what to say. Then I re-found this piece about Kintsugi, and I’m sure you know it, because you know so much. You are Kintsugi: poetically translated to “golden joinery,” Kintsugi, or Kintsukuroi, is the centuries-old Japanese art of fixing broken pottery. Rather than rejoin ceramic pieces with a camouflaged adhesive, the Kintsugi technique employs a special tree sap lacquer dusted with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. Once completed, beautiful seams of gold glint in the conspicuous cracks of ceramic wares, giving a one-of-a-kind appearance to each “repaired” piece.

This unique method celebrates each artifact’s unique history by emphasizing its fractures and breaks instead of hiding or disguising them. In fact, Kintsugi often makes the repaired piece even more beautiful than the original, revitalizing it with a new look and giving it a second life.

Thank you for sharing your truth, your heart, your all.

I’m trying to catch up. With you, and myself. I’ve realised as I’ve been frantically reading your posts that I’ve forgotten to like them all. Sorry. “Like” is an understatement anyway.

I’m sorry you’re feeling so heavy right now. I see more bone than break. I see more heartbeats than failures. Take care, Ra. You are loved. Thud.

    And stars. Always. xx
