I cannot figure out how to create a backlink. There’s already a link to YeahWrite! in my links. The HTML snippet they give is meaningless to me … I apparently am supposed to fill in something, but what?? AND WHERE DOES THIS BACKLINK BELONG? In the widgets? Does it go with a badge? Metadata? Where do I put it … after I figure out what it is I’m supposed to put? I’m going to fill out the form, click the fix it later box and maybe someone will tell me how to create the link. I’m feeling increasingly stupid by the minute.

The backlink has to be a link to YeahWrite’s exact Nano page, I think– the http://yeahwrite.me/nablopomo-page-13/ – it can be in a comment or sidebar, or whatever. 🙂 One thing I learned with YeahWrite is– if I have any confusion, just ask the editors. I couldn’t figure out the back link at first either, so no feeling stupid– because I’m not even sick so I have no excuse. 😀

Waving from yeah write. We try to make it simple, but it can get confusing. Install the badge as Rara has suggested above (the one with the red typewriter in its center) in your sidebar or another convenient place on your blog. It’s coded with the backlink. If you’ve already accepted the app’s offer to proceed past the error, your blog is in the moderation queue, and I’ll rescue it as soon as I can. Meanwhile, adding the badge will be awesome as that’s how our community will recognize you as one of our own. Sorry again for the frustration.

It’s official. You inspired me to do this with your great writing stuff habit. I feel too new at blogging to do this but, hey, it isn’t anything by my delicate heart and frail confidence that could possibly be shattered into a fine powder and sprinkled like fairy dust over a cage of rabid dogs.
